More Art for Neopets
Here is my latest…my portrait of Illusen for Illusen Day, which isn’t until the middle of March. So I finished early, I guess!
Anyway, I’m very happy with it.

You are ‘regularly metric verse’. This can take
many forms, including heroic couplets, blank
verse, and other iambic pentameters, for
example. It has not been used much since the
nineteenth century; modern poets tend to prefer
rhyme without meter, or even poetry with
neither rhyme nor meter.
You appreciate the beautiful things in life–the
joy of music, the color of leaves falling, the
rhythm of a heartbeat. You see life itself as
a series of little poems. The result (or is it
the cause?) is that you are pensive and often
melancholy. You enjoy the company of other
people, but they find you unexcitable and
depressing. Your problem is that regularly
metric verse has been obsolete for a long time.
What obsolete skill are you?

When I saw this I loved it too much. I followed this “Oddly Enough” link from Reuters and found that it was an article about Boise strip clubs.
Yay for Boise strip clubs!
Meesh…thanks so much for your comment! I’m going to send you an email soon. : )
I have finished one of my drawings of Selkie and Velvet (Velvet is her girlfriend), and then found out that according to my character sheet, Selkie has the buff body of Xena the Warrior Princess. So my pictures of her are moot!
I was going to color another version of the pic, Velvet with purple hair, but since Selkie isn’t right…well I might just do a closeup of Velvet with purple hair. Heh.

Wow, I have such good friends!! I haven’t been in touch with any of them since Christmas…I have been working on my own issues…rather intensely, actually, and just haven’t been emotionally able to talk to anybody. Not even Dan, really, although I’ve still been close to him (and have been sharing more in the past couple of weeks).
I finally made myself call Aquarius today. I have been feeling the most guilty about her, because she’s my best friend, and she’s in town, so it hasn’t really felt like I’ve had an excuse. But today was her birthday, and I had to force myself to call her. I was cringing and ready for an apology and a long explanation of my quietude, but, she would hear none of it. She was just happy to hear from me and made me promise not to ever worry about my not being able to keep in touch again. She pointed out that she’s not really been keeping in touch with me either so it hasn’t even all been on my end. But we are going to get together soon and I want to give her birthday presents.
I haven’t even been able to write in here because I felt so guilty about not keeping in touch with my friends!
Stacey, thanks for the sweet message! I love you too!!
Dan told me he found a message from you on my Yahoo messenger when he was trying to fix my computer one day…it disappeared and I don’t use my messenger so I haven’t written you back. But thanks for thinking of me!
I never did post my artwork of the Neopian Dark Faerie, Jhudora. I got it put in the art gallery… which means 10,000 NP and a very rare item! (And a trophy.) If I keep this up, I will be able to afford a draik soon!
teeheehee!
Anyway, here she is. I’m very proud of her.
