Trying not to whine…but…I really miss Seattle!!!

Coming back is not as bad as it has been in the past…because on the way home I still had the hope of living there by the end of the year. Right now, it feels unreal again and it’s hard not to feel all blah about it. I think I need to do something to keep it feeling real to me…I guess I should get my pics developed and put them all over the house. (I will post some here too)

Oh my God, I can’t tell you how good it feels to be here. I feel HUMAN inside!!! The air, the slight humidity of being near the sea, the light on the buildings, even the smell in the air just compounds into this feeling of certainty, of purity, of rightness. My friend Cady’s apartment is adorable. It’s a downstairs apartment, but the windows are large and the light is streaming in. It’s a very nook-and-cranny place, and the predominant shape of the place is a triangle…unlike your usual boxy squareness of suburban shit. We’re having dinner tonight at some friends of ours, one of whom is a gourmet chef. :9 Going out to jazz afterwards. I’m so excited to see all of our buddies!!! And I am more full of optimism and hope than I’ve felt in a long time.

OK, I’ve been working on this one for a few days. I had to do it as fast as possible because we’re driving to Seattle tomorrow (YAY!!!) and I won’t have time to work on it after I get back. ^-^ Anyway, this is the Neopian Faerie Queen, and a faerie rock flying next to her.

We’re driving to Seattle tomorrow morning. I am soooooooo excited. We’re staying with my best friend Cady, who just moved there. We’re going to a wedding, we’re doing somewhat touristy stuff, we’re seeing indie films and hopefully some nice live music. We’re going up the Space Needle and we’re going to have a wonderful vacation. We’re going to eat food, too. Not expensive food, but still really good food. We’re driving back Monday morning, and I’m telling you, I am going to be so refreshed. I hope Dan will be, too.

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to sound like I was complaining about your theme. This is definitely my favorite out of all of the ones I’ve seen. The links on the right were being pushed to the bottom of the page before I downloaded it, so I didn’t think it was a problem with your theme. I’m sorry it sounded like I thought that.

Thanks for posting though! I might ask for your help with getting comments to show up when you click on them…we’re getting an error message over here when we try to view them from the view page. My husband is a geek (geeks make me hot too ;)) and can probably get it figured out when he has time though. And I should probably email you this but I wanted *everyone* to know I wasn’t complaining about your theme; I was mostly complaining about my computer illiteracy (because stuff like that usually turns out to be user error with me).

Well, I got the color scheme changed. I’m trying to add plugins but it just busts my brains open. I’ll have to get Dan’s help. It’s frustrating, because I’m so excited about what I want to do and I can’t do anything until Dan and I are home together, which may not end up being until tomorrow night, or Saturday or Sunday night! Garr.

And look at that…on IE it doesn’t even start the links at the right until wayyyyyyy at the bottom of the page! I don’t know what that’s all about…

Check it out…we finally upgraded to a new blog … um… thing. We had to do it because of all the horrible masses of spammers. Now I will get an email when someone posts a comment, and if it’s someone who’s never posted before, I have to OK it before it posts. And most spammers are already blocked, anyway. Yay! : )

Anyway, the look of it will be changing in the next few days. I’ll settle for something less-than-perfect, because that would still be better than the layout of this one. (The links at the bottom right? Come on! ;))
