Whidbey Weekend 2006

Whidbey Weekend

Filed under: General — admin on @ 11:14 am

Over the past weekend we went to visit Whidbey Island with our friends Jon and Stacey, who had never been there. We had kind of planned it last minute, so we weren’t able to get anything decent in Langley. We stayed at A Tuscan Lady, and it was very nice. It had gorgeous grounds. We only had breakfast there one day, and it was pretty good. It was on the west side of the island, which was new to me. The walk on the beach, which is just down the street, was gorgeous, although it just wasn’t the same as Langley beach. ;) We did get to spend a lot of time in Langley anyway.

Some of you will be happy to know that they reopened the Bistro. It has new owners, and it looks like it’s more upscale than it was before. They have the rooftop dining, and the same Tuesday through Sunday schedule. Unfortunately for us, we never got a chance to eat there this weekend. But next time we will!

I did make a journal of the trip, although it’s not a ha-ha-funny one, because I just had too relaxing and peaceful of a time. I’ll upload it soon. I also took pics with my new lame cheap digital camera. I’ll post some of those, too! ^^

Hi Jon and Stacey! Hope you had a nice trip home. Love yas! *blows kisses*

Last Two Gaia Avatars

Filed under: Artwork — admin on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 @ 10:21 am

These are the last two I’m doing for a while…that is unless I decide to set up a shop on Gaia and sell avatar drawings for Gaia gold. ^^ But if I do, it will probably be a while.

Ish My Birthday!!

Filed under: General — admin on Friday, August 11, 2006 @ 10:55 pm

Wow, I didn’t know my time clock was a whole hour off. It’s actually 11:55.

Anyway! Today is my birthday. I’m so lucky! Everybody has birthdays, but not everybody celebrates them. Even people who were raised celebrating them sometimes stop celebrating them when they turn 18 or something. I think that’s sad. It’s a special day! A special day for YOU! Well, me, in this case.

I had a lovely day. No school today, and I went clothes shopping. Dan’s grandparents sent me a gift and I ran around to my favorite clothing shops in Capital Hill and spent most everything. I bought tons of clothes. Two skirts, and lots of shirts. I’ve been needing just some plain, comfy, long tees for layering, and I found a lot of really lovely ones. I bought a few black and grey things, and a lot of pink/lavender/sky blue things. After I brought them home I laid them on the bed and rolled in them. The colors make me really happy. :*)

Dan and I went to dinner at Ray’s Boathouse, in Ballard. It’s right on the coast of the Sound, and it has very fresh seafood. The idea was that I was going to get my favorite food, king crab legs. They had some really fresh ones on special that night, and Dan had some too, and I lost myself in the ecstasy of soft, buttery crab meat. The view was just gorgeous. The sun was going down, and there were a few scattered clouds that caught the light, some boats, and there was a pole that was frequented by a great blue heron, who liked to sit and look majestic while I watched him.

The sun going down…my cell phone put that black dot there.

Right after the sun went down. My cell phone muddied a lot of the details…it was a lot prettier in real life. XD The heron is on the top of the pole on the right.

Dan bought me a really beautiful black pearl and diamond necklace. It’s really simple and elegant. I just love it. *heart* ;)

Tomorrow night we’re going to the Chapel Bar and meeting up with a ton of my friends. I only wish Rachael could be there with us! And the rest of the Boise gang, like Dawn, Nick, Jon, Brian, and Katy. I miss those guys to death. But the people that will be there are Cady, Paula, Grant, Brian, Rika, (Tamar?), Sam, Chuck, and the infamous Ratboy!! And hopefully Corey and Qiana if I can remember to invite them last minute. :/

The last weekend of August we’re staying in a Bed and Breakfast in Langley with Jon and Stacey. All the cool people spell Jon without an H. Random fact of the day. : )

Anyway, I had a lovely, lovely day. I’m really tired now, so I’m going to bed. Good night, sweet world! :*
