LOL Obama

I voted for him, so I’m happy. Ecstatic, even. I’m trying to remain level-headed and cautiously optimistic–he’s got a huge mess to clean up after all–but every time I watch him getting sworn in I burst into happy tears and start giggling like a schoolgirl. :’D
We seriously need to change our music as a country though. I can’t hear that song without thinking of Naked Gun. And were they seriously playing “Yankee Doodle Dandy” for the parade??
I just watched a video of him getting out of a limo with his stylin’ wife and footing it in the parade, waving as onlookers went wild. Seriously…this man is our president? Seriously? We get to keep him?
It’s crazily awesome to have a president that the kids treat like a rock star instead of a boring bag of hot air. Not that he acts like a rock star…but he sure doesn’t act like a boring bag of hot air.

I hope you have a great 2009!
…my site was down for a few days. Apparently our web host’s server went down and they were very careless when putting things back together and it’s a long story but we finally got our websites working again.
I love newness. A new year is a lovely thing. And soon we’ll be coming upon a new decade!
This is my last full year of school. It’s interesting how things seem to happen for me lately in five year increments. I moved out on my own in 2000, moved to Seattle in 2005, and will graduate from college in 2010. Of course 2003, the year we got married, was bigger than any of those other years.
Wow, the idea of having lived in Seattle for 5ive years sounds crazy to me. We’ve already spent most of our marriage here. So I’ll be getting a job in 2010…I wonder what other exciting things are in store for us…
Oh well, let’s not worry about 2010 yet! Let’s let 2009 do its thing first!
And I’ll be counting the days until January 21st as well!
